Greetings to our clients, contacts and friends. We hope you are staying well, and that the gradual return of our city is bringing some normalcy to your lives. To that end, we are happy to announce that we are returning to our office on May 19th. With Alberta’s first phase of reopening the province moving forward, we’ve decided it is in the best interest of our team and our clients to return from working remotely. We have learned a lot over this time and have strived to continue the level of service you have come to expect. The changes to our work environment created an opportunity to streamline a number of processes, as well as enter the world of virtual meetings – which had fortuitously been on our corporate agenda for 2020. Rest assured we have measures in place to keep our staff safe and will continue to be closed to the public until we are confident that we can keep our clients safe as well. We will provide you with updates as we monitor the progress of the province’s reopening.
In other news, we want to wish all the best to Mehek as she will be moving to Toronto and reuniting with her husband who has been working there for the past year. To continue to provide best-in-class client service, we will be looking to add a new team member to fill this role once tax season has wrapped up. Lastly, we are excited to announce some new initiatives at CH. We are always listening and looking to improve our service delivery model, and in the spirit of open communication we have two new ways we’ll be connecting with you starting on May 19th.
The first is a weekly communication from our team: CH Portfolio Minutes. This will be a memo delivered by email every Monday that highlights investment specific information. Our goal is to give you more insight into how your portfolio is being managed. The first few will come directly from me, and over time you’ll hear different perspectives from our whole team. You will need to opt-in to this communication. Please do so by clicking here. You can expect the first memo to be delivered on May 19th – spoiler alert, we’re discussing the concept of buying growth for free. You won’t want to miss it!
The second is the most interactive way, and completely new for our team. CH Live will start on May 25th and continue on the last Monday of every month for the remainder of the year. I will be hosting a video call at 4pm MST that will last about 90 minutes, consisting almost entirely of Q & A. We’ll send out a reminder the week before to submit any questions you might have, and I’ll also answer some live ones as well. The format is to be determined, but by the end of next week you’ll receive an email invite to join (webinar-style). Transparency is hugely important to us and giving our clients a platform to make sure your points are heard is one way we feel we can make good on this commitment.
